Meridian Leisure Park is a great place for all. Whether it be to grab a bite to eat, have a game of bowling or watch a movie. There is something for everyone.
What I also love about the Leisure Park is that there is ample parking and it’s free.
I went along to a bloggers night on Monday, 29th October. There is something exciting about being out on a school night right?
Our first stop was Nando’s for some starters. I know not everyone loves this posh chicken and chips place but I do! The food is always “pucker” and does hit that spot.
The restaurant was practically full, which I was surprised about for a Monday night, but I guess everyone needs that #CheekyNandos after being back at work?
We were treated to a Wings Roulette. Normally this would come with a selection of heat levels including Extra Hot. We were all light weights and asked if they could limit it to Medium.
The wings were finger licking good and I could not stop tucking into them. They were tender, slightly charred and simply delicious. Chicken on the bone is my favourite type, especially with the Nando’s wild herb sauce.
The vegetarians had Halloumi Fries with a rather nice chilli jam dip.
This used to be a favourite of mine when I was a student (nothing to do with the fab student discount they had on offer). Over the years it has changed and now has a modern feel to it.
All the dishes on the menu looked mouth-watering, but over eating the wings I had to pick a lighter option. I chose the Spiralised Veg Pasta Gamberoni.
The dish had carrot, golden beetroot & courgette spirals with king prawns & chilli in a spicy garlic & tomato sauce.
For a dish that had no carbs, it was filling and yet had a lot of flavour in it. The texture was perfect too.
I would recommend this lighter dish and will be having it on my next visit too.
To wash it down I had a refreshing Passion Fruit Cooler. It was a perfectly flavoured Virgin Mojito.
The last stop of the evening was Hollywood Bowl. Their 24 bowling alleys are modern and perfect for all ages. They also have a couple of VIP lanes.
Bowling has always been a fun activity for me and I don’t do it often enough. I clearly haven’t been for a while because now you can wear your own trainers.
Being able to order food and drinks to your lane with the press of a button is always a winner for me. We went for a round of cocktails – the bar tender had a lot of passion and was keen to make sure we got what we liked. I fancied something sweet and he made me one with caramel, passion fruit juice and vodka.
The cocktail was nice though I wasn’t quite sure about the garnish he chose…Marshmallows work best with hot chocolate for me and not on a cocktail.
The game was fun and I came second despite my lousy bowling skills (we did have the bumpers on). Is that classed as cheating?
An evening with food, cocktails and fun is always a good one! Leisure Parks are somewhere I enjoy visiting because there is something for everyone and its all within walking distance.
Do you visit Leisure Parks often?

So many fun things to do at meridian. I have to say that I rarely visit as it’s a little out of town for me but I do like a game of bowling!
