Warwick castle is a medieval castle filled with a lot of history and adventure and packed with things to do inside and outside.
The castle has a new attraction that allows visitors to enjoy acrobatic displays by some of UK’s best Birds of Prey. The Falconer’s Quest is by the Riverside Viewing Area and is on until the 31st of October.
On our visit, despite the windy conditions, the hawk, eagle, red kite & perigrine falcon put on a great show for us. The birds are trained well and some of them have enough confidence to fly right by the audiences.
During out visit to the castle we also enjoyed:
•The Knight’s School at Oak Tree Lawn: My nephew got to train to be a knight. Those interested need a stick, sword or some sort of armoury to practice the motions.
•Bowman Show at East Front: We got to watch the bowman put his archery skills to the test. We got a bit of history lesson too whilst we were there.
The staff at all the events were interactive and got the crowd engaged.
•Exploring the Castle: We looked around the Great Hall & State Rooms in the castle. There is so much to learn and see. A place I would definitely be returning to soon. Displays from 1898 at the the Royal Wedding Party were fascinating.
•The gardens: The grounds of the castle are beautiful and green. I especially loved the Peacock Garden, a Victorian garden home to the resident peacocks.
•Faciltiies: There are adequate facilities dotted around the castle grounds making it easy to grab a bite to eat or even use the washroom. We enjoyed some cream tea at the Conservatory whilst my nephew tucked into a sandwich and pringles.
Warwick Castle is suitable for all ages, apart from The Castle Dungeon which is has a minimum age restriction of 10 years. A standard ticket will allow you to see all the shows all the above apart from The Castle Dungeon.

The Falconer’s Show is so good isn’t it? We visited at the weekend and saw the show – the size of some of the birds of prey was seriously impressive 🙂

Falcons are such impressive birds and I love watching those kind of shows. They can be quite intimidating when you’re up closer to them!
