Brick & Beam Leicester, the hidden loft bar now serves food. Think comfort food including small plates, bar snacks, wings and sliders all paired with cocktails, fizz or a cup of tea!
Located just by the Curve Theatre, Brick & Beam is the place to be. I am a big fan of the bar. It has all the cosy vibes including twinkly lights and plays R&B music later on. If you fancy Live Music they got you covered too with Jazz and Soul being played early evening.
Brick and Beam was an old factory building so expect a great architecture inside. It has a rooftop terrace too (I think Leicester’s only one) and is a perfect location for any occasion. They have a room available to hire out too.

Afternoon Tea
I was invited to try their afternoon tea and loved it. The standard afternoon tea comes with a selection of teas. You can upgrade this to bubbles or cocktails.
To start off we got a theatrical palate cleanser each. Always love a wow factor! A cute picnic bench shortly followed and came with juicy brioche chicken sliders, filled tandoori chicken wraps, Lincolnshire scones and petit desserts.
The savoury items were a nice twist to the traditional sandwiches. Fresh and flavoursome we enjoyed them.
The warm Lincolnshire scones were served with jam & clotted cream. We did have to take one home because they are big.
10 mini desserts were served on the picnic bench too …Eclairs, Brownie, Custard Slice, Macaron and Macaroons. It made a nice change from larger cakes or those that are sickly or full of cream.
We washed the Afternoon Tea down with some well brewed English Breakfast Tea and perfect shaken Mojitos.
Afternoon Tea is served on Saturday and Sunday between 12 and 4pm. More information and booking service on their website. Food is served until 9pm.
