This weekend I was supposed to be wining and dining with the family to celebrate my birthday but with the lockdown being extended in Leicester, it was not meant to be. I did however have the best food delivery and enjoy a fantastic picnic board with the fine produce.
The perfect graze/picnic board
The British weather is not always predictable so whilst we cannot always enjoy a picnic we can always tuck into the versatile grazing boards.
Luckily the sun made an experience after a wet week and we enjoyed the

Buying prepared graze boards can work out expensive so I chose to make my own with the freshest high quality produce. My shopping list include
- Freshly picked seedless grapes
- Freshly picked carrots
- Olives Et Al Rosemary & Garlic Olives
- The Bay Tree Garlic Pickle
- Granary Rustic Cob
- Good Game Mixed Charcuterie Pack with pork collar, loin & leg
- Good Game Devon Fire Chorizo
- Award-winning Barber’s 1833 Vintage Cheddar
- Nuts
- Salad leaves
- Luscombe lemonade
- Hogs Bottom Strawberry Jam
- Trewithen Dairy Cornish Clotted Cream
- Cherry Scones

The whole order was to a high standard and the fact that it was all British and most of it was sourced from local West Country traders was brilliant. I could tell from just looking at the carrots, how freshly picked they were.
The Deli items had a good date on them. I loved the idea that Farm Shop Foods in a one-stop shop..you can get everything for your weekly food shop for a great price & standard. It is just like buying from your local farm shop.
For the dessert board, it had to be cream tea. I mean you can’t get closer to a Cornish cream tea in the comfort of your own home right?

There is nothing quite like being able to buy locally at a farm shop and support those businesses. I think it is great some are taking to the online world to make reaching them easier as well.
Everything looks so fresh and so delicious. That would really make for a good picnic! I wish we had that service here. We could plan a picnic in our backyard and enjoy all that delicious food.
Until I read this post, I had no idea this service existed. I will be ‘signing up’ as it looks like a great way to promote abs support local businesses.
