Leicester has a newbie! It is amazing and just what is needed to cheer us all up.
Apart from the amazing street food stands & entertainment galore, they have outdoor and indoor seating so it’s perfect for socialising. Their food stands and one of their bars are outdoors.
Lane 7 (formerly the Great Central Railway Station) is part of the new development area (Great Central Square) and has some amazing neighbours, Nine B Bar & Restaurant, Esquires Coffee House & Novotel if you need to stay overnight.
Lane 7 has something for everyone. From date night bowling to family crazy golf session to watching footie on a big screen.
- Crazy Golf
- American Pool
- Ping Pong
- Retro Arcade Games
- Beer Pong
I love that they have beer pong (though may need to swap that to Prosecco pong soon). Oh, I almost forgot to mention the photo booths (they literally have the whole fun experience).
There is a great ambiance at Lane 7. The music, staff, food and entertainment is the perfect package.
Food & Drink
I am a big fan of street food and Lane 7 has got it covered. Juicy burgers, soft bao buns, flavoursome Thai cuisine, pimped mini hash browns, bubble waffles and more.
As for drinks, well you are spoilt for choice. Cocktails, Prosecco on tap, Slushies, Hot chocolates. They also have some retro sweets on sale.
Some of the Eateries & Bars at the moment include:
- What’s your burger
- Thai Express UK
- Fika Coffee & Waffles
- Jamie’s Lady Garden
- Flake it off
The staff wear masks at all times and there are plenty of hand sanitizers dotted around. Tables are cleaned regularly and so is all the bowling area. We are living in strange times and I think everyone should work together to help keep us safe. Lane 7 are doing their bit and we should do ours.
With the constant changes to the Leicester on-street parking, I am pleased Lane 7 has nearby (to the left of the venue) pay and display parking so everyone is a winner.
So if you want some fun, pay the lovely place a visit. With outdoor seating too it is a great place to have food and drink with the current situation.
