I have lots of memories from my early twenties here. The Shakespeare town has so much to offer from theatre to boat trips. Here is how I spent 24 Hours in Stratford Upon Avon.
Accommodation
On a recent trip, my friend booked The Arden Hotel for my birthday so we could sort of reliving our 20’s. The location is perfect and they offer free parking which is amazing for the city centre.
The rooms were spacious and had all the amenities we were expecting. The hotel was clean and well maintained, something I had expected as it is part of the small luxury hotels group.
Service was a bit slow at times however overall staff were upbeat and there to ensure we had a good stay.

Nosh & Quaff
Arden Hotel: The hotel has a nice terrace area for drinks as well as an inside bar. The drinks were well prepared. We had breakfast at the hotel too and it tasted nice.
Salt: A must visit if you love fine food. For £85 you get 8 beautiful courses at this Michelin star restaurant, each rich and packed with flavour and creativity. 8 courses were a bit too much, especially with the addition of bread and complimentary petit four and amuse-bouche. They also do a lunch menu which I hope to return to one day.
Hobsons Patisserie: When in this Shakespeare town you have to tuck into some cream tea. They also do jumbo scones packed with cream and jam.
Woodsman Restaurant: Not only is this place perfect for a drink, it serves amazing food. You can read all about my visit here.
La Marina: The location is perfect and we had a great selection of tapas overlooking the Avon.
There are several places to eat around Stratford Upon Avon. Just remember to book.

Things to do
The hop on hop off bus is a great way to see all the Shakespeare sights if you do not have a lot of time. If you want to explore the Anne Hathaway cottage. ** It is closed until March 2022**.
If you fancy something more active, you can go rowing. A beautiful way to see Stratford upon Avon from the water. Drive to Henley in Arden for some lush ice cream. Whilst walking around Stratford you may see there are little pop ups selling a Henley ice cream. If you have a chance drive to the beautiful village and explore the full flavours
You are in Shakespeare land so lots of theatre, history and beautiful walks
