I was invited along to the 1st anniversary of Three Church Road (at St George’s Place) in Edgbaston on 12/07/2006.
We were welcomed with Pimms and Processo (both being topped up throughout the night).
Robert, the manager gave us a tour of the rooms and I was taken back at how beautiful each room was decorated starting from the lobby to the bar.
Set in a Georgian building this modern English restaurant and Bistro is one not to be missed.
Adjoined to the Audley Retirement Home the environment is subtle, modern and relaxed.
The decor is chic and very attractive. They have a few rooms for guests to enjoy:
- Three Churches Restaurant as well as a Private dining area which is also used as an over flow for the restaurant
- Bar and Bistro
- The Library
- The Lounge

There rooms are all perfectly laid out and decorated. Beautiful comfy chairs are fitted around created a warm ambience. There is capacity for 36 covers at the restaurant.
The main bar, which opens to a terrace has two rooms on each side, a bar and a lobby.

Both have gorgeous ornaments in them and the furnishing does give it the English Charm.
The bar atmosphere is calm, warm and welcoming . It has the perfect setting for that refreshing Pimms on a summers day or that cosy drink before or after a tucking into that delicious meal.
During the evening there were a selection of canapés which I enjoyed. They were well constructed, plated and delicious.
Three Church Road offers light bites, lunch and dinner every day of the week. In addition to this they serve afternoon tea.
The food is made from fresh, locally sourced seasonal ingredients. The canapés were just a taster for me of the scrumptious food that the venue serves.
We ended the evening with a birthday cake and a few words from the manager. Who doesn’t love a birthday cake with sparklers?
Three Church Road is a place I will be recommending to Friends and Family whether it is for a drink or a meal.
Do you just love a restaurant/bar with great character? One that feels homely and warm…well this is the place to try.
Until next time its bye from me..
