Homemade Butter with Hot Honey

Homemade Butter

  • 200 ml double cream heavy cream

Hot Honey Sauce

  • 2 tbsps. honey
  • 2 dried red chillies cracked open for the chilli flakes
  • ¼ tsp of garlic salt
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Black cracked pepper

Instructions

Hot Honey Sauce

  • Place the honey in a small pan and heat it just so it is warm
  • Add in the chilli flakes and salt and let this infuse while you make the butter.

1 ingredient butter

  • Add your cream to a bowl or container that is suitable for the amount of cream you have.
  • Whip the cream on medium – high. It will go from thickening to curdling to splitting. The butter will then clump together
  • This takes about 10 minutes
  • Take the butter and rinse it in ice cold water. You need to keep kneading and squeezing it until the water runs clear
  • Let the butter get to room temperature. This will allow the honey to mix in well with it rather than solidify

Hot Honey Butter

  • Combine the butter with the hot honey sauce. You can whip this or mix with a fork
  • Shape, garnish and serve
