Over the years many memories have been created at my local Bistrot Pierre, Leicester. It is where we have had some of the yummiest duck and pecan tart and enjoyed some of the best set deals.
I also remember the excitement of filling a card with loyalty stamps to get that free meal (student life).

Now Bistrot Pierre has an even better loyalty scheme. It is called Club Bistro Pierre. To become a member, just download the app. All you need to do then is start spending to get rewarded… Every £1 spent, earns you 8 points. The app will show you how many points you have and what you need to get complimentary food and drink.
Club Bistrot Pierre members also get treated to special offers throughout the year. This includes invitations to tasting events.
We were invited to sample the Festive Menu ahead of its launch on the 25th of November. We got to taste the Turkey, Duck and Salmon and got a complimentary glass of fizz too. The tasters worked perfectly as starters. Festive Menu’s start at £19.95 for three courses! Now that is a bargain! With any meal at Bistrot Pierre, you get complimentary fresh baked French bread too.
Mains & Desserts
After enjoying the tasters, Kev and I had a main meal and dessert each from the main menu.
I went for the Pan Fried Duck Breast ( I told you it is one of my favourite dishes there). It was cooked pink and served with dauphinoise potatoes, french beans and blackberry jus.
Kev had the Honey Glazed Pork Medallions. The dish was in a beautiful sauce and topped with crispy onions. It also came with dauphinoise potatoes and french beans.
We were pretty full at this stage but could not resist a dessert.
I had the moist warm chocolate brownie that was served with a chocolate sauce and salted caramel ice cream.
Kev enjoyed his Autumn Berry Pavlova which had a beautiful texture. The berries complimented the chewy meringue.
Being a French Bistro, I can always count on having a feast on my birthday too (which happens to fall on Bastille Day). My friend and I also have most our Christmas catch ups here because the setting is warm and inviting.
